These are edition-specific arrangements, not a guarantee that a ticket will remain available or that future years will use the same release schedule. Check the live shop and the conditions attached to the exact ticket you intend to buy. Hospitality packages advertise premium seating and extras; confirm current availability and what each package includes directly with the official provider.
What ID and security checks should you expect?
The 2026 spectator guide requires real-name ticketing: bring the original identity document whose details match the purchase. It lists a Chinese mainland ID card, Mainland Travel Permit or passport as accepted documents. Entry includes security screening and ID scanning. Center Court has an additional inspection point at Gate 16, so follow the instructions for your specific ticket and gate.
Gate 2 is the normal audience entrance according to the 2026 guide, with an exception for ACE Wonderland reservations. Same-day re-entry is permitted under that guide. Check the current event notice for any updated gate directions or ticket-specific requirements.
How do you get to Qizhong Tennis Center?
The venue address is 5500 Yuanjiang Road, Minhang District. The tournament says the metro does not reach the tennis center directly. For 2026, the spectator guide recommends public transport and reports complimentary tournament shuttles linking the venue with Xinzhuang Station South Square on Metro Line 1 and Zhuanqiao Metro Station, plus a post-play return shuttle to Shanghai Stadium.

Do not rely on the timetable shown on the tournament’s transport page: it is from 2024 and marked for reference only. Confirm current routes, operating times and pickup points through 2026 tournament notices. The transport page distinguishes taxi pickup at Gate 2 from app-based ride pickup near Gate 6, at Zhongqing Road and Yuanjiang Road; check a current event map before choosing a pickup location.
What should you bring, and what is restricted?
Expect a long day outdoors or moving between courts. The 2026 guide recommends daytime sun protection; an extra layer can be useful when the evening cools. If rain is forecast, consider a packable poncho: long-handle umbrellas are prohibited. These are practical suggestions, not official equipment requirements.

What happens if weather changes play?
Outdoor play can be affected by October weather in Shanghai. The 2026 spectator guide says play on Center Court and Court 2 pauses in rain until their roofs are closed; other outdoor matches may be adjusted, as may arrangements during extreme heat. Do not plan around a particular match time or player appearance, since the schedule and participation can change.

Is FanWeek worth adding to the trip?
FanWeek is scheduled at Qizhong October 1–4, before the main tournament dates. The city’s 2026 overview lists a celebrity invitational, amateur competitions, open practice viewing and a pop-up tennis museum. It reports a 60-yuan FanWeek ticket that includes a 60-yuan voucher. The city also describes free official off-site fan zones and a city stamp activity using a 9.9-yuan physical booklet. Treat these as 2026 details, not recurring annual offers; confirm the activities and ticket terms before making plans.
