The STERNGLAS Naos Pro Automatik is a slimmer update to the 38 mm Naos: its listed case height is 9 mm, compared with 12 mm for the earlier Naos Automatik. It retains an automatic Miyota movement and adds revised dial details and a larger crown, according to STERNGLAS. The specifications below come from the manufacturer; they are not a substitute for hands-on testing of wear, finishing or timekeeping.
What changed on the Naos Pro?
STERNGLAS presents the Pro as an evolution of its Naos design rather than a change in size: both the listed Pro and earlier Naos Automatik measure 38 mm across. The manufacturer says it increased the dial-line thickness, enlarged the numerals, cleaned up the indices and enlarged the crown. STERNGLAS says the crown change responds to a community request and is intended to make winding and setting easier; that benefit has not been independently assessed here.
The alabaster configuration’s official product page identifies it as S02-NP26-BR02. It shows a curved alabaster dial with Luminova and black luminous hands. The automatic movement is visible through a glass case back, with a black PVD rotor bearing gold STERNGLAS engraving.
How thin is it, and how does it compare with the earlier Naos?
STERNGLAS lists the Pro at 9 mm high and describes it as 25% thinner than the earlier Naos Automatik, listed at 12 mm. The arithmetic matches those stated heights. The comparison is between the variants on the brand’s product pages, not a broader measurement of every Naos configuration.

The 42.4 mm Pro lug-to-lug is slightly longer than the 42 mm figure on the earlier model’s page. Case thickness alone does not determine how a watch wears, and these figures do not establish comfort or fit on a particular wrist.
What movement does the Naos Pro use?
STERNGLAS specifies the Miyota 9015 automatic caliber, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), with a stated 42-hour power reserve. Its listed functions are hours, minutes, seconds, date, manual winding and hacking seconds, which stop the seconds hand when the crown is pulled for setting.

The published accuracy range is -10/+30 seconds per day. This is the manufacturer’s stated caliber specification, not a measured result from a watch tested for this article; actual timekeeping can vary between individual watches and with use.
Case, crystal and water resistance
The official alabaster listing specifies a polished and brushed 316L stainless-steel case, a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating and water resistance up to 5 ATM. The rating is the manufacturer’s published specification; it is not an independent water-resistance test or a detailed recommendation for a particular activity.

Straps, fit and maintenance
The assessed alabaster configuration is listed with a dark-brown Bridle leather strap. STERNGLAS also lists black or dark-brown Bridle leather and a solid 316 stainless-steel link bracelet as strap choices, and describes a quick-release spring-bar system for tool-free changes. The 20 mm lug width is useful when looking for alternatives, but check the end fit and spring-bar compatibility of any third-party strap rather than assuming every 20 mm strap will fit perfectly.
For maintenance, STERNGLAS recommends service every 3–5 years for a watch used daily, checking seals every five years and replacing them if necessary. The brand says service is available through its service department or specialist retail partners. These are STERNGLAS’s recommendations, not a universal schedule for every owner or watch.

Price and what the published information can establish
The STERNGLAS page for the alabaster configuration displayed €699 when accessed in 2026. That is a time- and market-sensitive listing for this variant, not a guaranteed current price or a price for every configuration. The product page does not establish independent performance, reliability or value results, so those judgments require evidence beyond the published specifications.
