Frédéric Arnault is a LVMH executive whose career moved from TAG Heuer to broader group responsibilities. He joined TAG Heuer in 2017, became its CEO in 2020, and was appointed CEO of LVMH Watches effective January 1, 2024. LVMH later announced Jean-Christophe Babin as CEO of LVMH Watches from April 1, 2025, and a subsequent LVMH appointments page describes Arnault as CEO of Loro Piana. That means the title “TAG Heuer CEO” is no longer a current description of his role.

Who is Frédéric Arnault?

Frédéric Arnault is a senior executive at LVMH, the luxury-goods group chaired and led by Bernard Arnault. LVMH’s later appointments page describes Frédéric as CEO of Loro Piana, a fashion house in the group. Because executive appointments can change, that description should be read as the latest role listed on the cited LVMH page, not as a guarantee of his position on every later date.

The supplied title identifies Frédéric as Bernard Arnault’s son. LVMH’s corporate biography identifies Bernard as its Chairman and CEO and says he has five children, but the official passages available here do not explicitly identify Frédéric as one of them. The family relationship is therefore not independently established by those cited LVMH sources.

Is Frédéric Arnault still CEO of TAG Heuer?

No. LVMH says Arnault joined TAG Heuer in 2017 and became the watch brand’s CEO in 2020. In its announcement of group appointments, LVMH named him CEO of LVMH Watches effective January 1, 2024, and named Julien Tornare CEO of TAG Heuer. LVMH later announced that Jean-Christophe Babin would become CEO of LVMH Watches effective April 1, 2025. A subsequent LVMH appointments page lists Arnault as CEO of Loro Piana.

The roles are distinct: TAG Heuer CEO leads one watch brand; CEO of LVMH Watches oversees a group division; and CEO of Loro Piana is a role at a fashion house. LVMH’s 2024 announcement described Arnault’s Watches remit as Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith.

Frédéric Arnault’s career timeline

2020 Became CEO of TAG Heuer Leadership of the TAG Heuer watch brand.
January 1, 2024 Appointed CEO of LVMH Watches Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith, according to LVMH.
April 1, 2025 Jean-Christophe Babin became CEO of LVMH Watches Babin succeeded Arnault in the division leadership.
Later LVMH appointments page Described as CEO of Loro Piana Fashion house; the page’s description may not reflect a later change.

What the LVMH appointments mean for his watch-industry career

Arnault’s move from TAG Heuer to LVMH Watches marked a change from leading a single brand to overseeing a portfolio of three watch houses. LVMH’s announcement explicitly described the remit as Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith. The subsequent appointment of Babin to lead LVMH Watches is why older profiles that present Arnault as the division’s current chief can now mislead.
