ZENITH announced the DEFY Skyline Skeleton in White Ceramic on July 3, 2024—not as a 2026 launch. Reference 49.9301.3620/79.I001 pairs a 41 mm white ceramic case with a blue open dial and the automatic El Primero 3620 SK skeleton movement.
What is the Zenith DEFY Skyline Skeleton White Ceramic?
It is the first white ceramic model in ZENITH’s DEFY Skyline collection, according to the brand’s July 3, 2024 announcement. ZENITH frames the Skyline as a modern successor to its original 1969 DEFY wristwatch; that is the manufacturer’s description of the collection’s lineage.
The watch’s reference is 49.9301.3620/79.I001. Its white exterior contrasts with a blue open dial and visible skeleton movement.
Case and dial design
ZENITH’s product page specifies a 41 mm octagonal case made of white ceramic and a faceted bezel. The announcement describes the ceramic as highly scratch-resistant and notes alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces; these are manufacturer descriptions, not independent durability-test results. The press release calls the bezel dodecagonal, while the product page describes it as faceted.
#1 Best Overall
- Zenith DEFY Classic Automatic Blue Skeleton Dial Men's Watch 49.9003.670/51.R793
The blue open dial exposes the El Primero 3620 SK and incorporates the four-pointed star motif associated by ZENITH with the DEFY line. At 6 o’clock, a 1/10-second indicator rotates once every 10 seconds. It functions as the running indicator rather than a conventional seconds subdial. ZENITH calls it “the world’s first and only constant 1/10th of a second running indicator”; that superlative is the brand’s claim, not an independently verified distinction.
El Primero 3620 SK movement and time display
The watch is powered by the automatic El Primero 3620 SK high-frequency skeleton calibre. ZENITH says the 1/10-second indicator is driven directly by the 5 Hz escapement, completing one rotation every 10 seconds. The brand specifies approximately 55 hours of power reserve and a stop-second mechanism, which halts the seconds display when setting the time.
Bracelet, strap and water resistance
The primary configuration is an integrated white ceramic bracelet. The package also includes a white patterned rubber strap, which can be swapped using the case’s tool-free quick-change system, according to ZENITH. The brand rates the watch at 10 ATM (100 metres) water resistance. That figure is a manufacturer specification, not a claim of independent testing.
Price and availability
Prices shown on ZENITH’s official pages are market-specific and may change. The US DEFY Skyline Skeleton collection page lists the model at $18,900, while ZENITH’s Lithuania regional product page displays €19,100. Those prices apply to the respective regional listings; neither should be treated as a universal price.
The 2024 launch announcement said the watch was available in small quantities through ZENITH boutiques, the online boutique and authorized retailers worldwide. That historical statement does not confirm present-day stock. Check the relevant regional ZENITH page or an authorized retailer for current availability.

What to check when comparing it with another DEFY Skyline Skeleton
Compare versions by case material and finish, dial color, calibre and indicator, case size, included bracelet and strap, water resistance, and the price listed for your market. The published details here establish this white ceramic reference, but do not provide a complete like-for-like specification set for every other DEFY Skyline Skeleton variant.
