Van Speyk’s page independently describes Courage as using a Swiss automatic STP movement and confirms the power-reserve display, moon phase and small seconds. It does not specify the STP2-12-63 calibre or the other movement figures on that collection page. Monochrome also notes that the rotor carries the Van Speyk name and monogram.
How the displays shape the watch
The layout is more involved than a conventional three-hand dress watch. Hours and minutes remain central, while the small seconds and moon-phase display add separate dial indications. The power reserve is shown on a retrograde scale rather than a conventional pointer sweeping around a full arc. The sources identify these functions but do not establish their operating accuracy or performance through independent testing.

At 14 mm high, the CSZW-DB has a substantial stated profile for a dress watch. That number alone does not establish how it will sit under a cuff or fit a particular wrist; no comparative wear testing is available here.
Dial and case-finish options
Monochrome reports black, blue and silvery-white dial options across the Courage range, with steel-coloured or blued hands depending on configuration. Van Speyk lists stainless-steel, gold and rose case-finish families, with multiple references in each family. The sources do not confirm every possible combination of dial, hands and case finish, so check the individual listing rather than assuming all options pair together.

Current displayed price and what comes with it
When Van Speyk’s official Courage page was accessed on 2026-10-08, it displayed prices of €999 for listed stainless-steel models and €1,099 for listed gold- and rose-finish models. The page also showed VAT/tax-free amounts. The final tax treatment and delivered price depend on the buyer’s location and checkout details, so verify those before ordering. Monochrome’s article, dated 2025-07-23, reported €999 including VAT for the featured CSZW-DB; that is historical pricing, not a substitute for the current listing.
Van Speyk says each Courage includes a three-year warranty, a luxury watch box, a manual and a certificate. Confirm the applicable warranty and purchase terms on the brand’s listing when buying. The brand page presents reference listings and prices, but stock for a particular reference should also be checked at the time of purchase.
