Which marker style should you choose?
Choose Typ 1 for a cleaner, less numeral-led dial
The baton markers give the dial a pared-back appearance. Choose this version if that look suits your taste; the available information does not establish that batons are more legible for every wearer.

The numerals make the hour markers the more prominent graphic element. Pick Typ 2 if you prefer that traditional numeral style. DUG describes it as a classic appearance, but neither design has a proven universal legibility or performance advantage.

Are the case and movement different?
DUG’s current product specifications list the same core construction for both models. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
- 40 mm three-part stainless-steel case, 10.95 mm high, with a 47.5 mm lug-to-lug measurement.
- Double anti-reflective sapphire crystal and sapphire display caseback.
- Water resistance rated to 100 meters (10 ATM).
- DUG 400 automatic movement, based on the Sellita SW 400, with a listed 40-hour power reserve and 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).
DUG does not list a case, movement, water-resistance, or performance distinction between Typ 1 and Typ 2. Those specifications alone do not establish how either model will fit a particular wrist or how accurately it will run in use.

How should you choose date, color, and strap?
Date or no date
Both designs are offered with an optional date display at 6 o’clock. Decide whether you want the date independently of the marker style; choosing numerals does not require choosing a date, or vice versa.
Dial color
DUG offers multiple dial colors. Its product pages list textured dials and applied markers; the Onyx Black, Royal Blue, and Moon White variants are listed with luminous material. Check the selected color’s live configuration rather than assuming every color is available with every option.

Leather or steel
The product pages show leather and stainless-steel options, a quick-change system, and a 20 mm lug width for both models. That width does not by itself confirm that an unrelated replacement strap will work with the attachment system, so verify compatibility before buying one.
