The Tudor Pelagos FXD’s strap bars are fixed to the case, so you do not change its strap the way you would on a watch with removable spring bars. Use a one-piece strap designed to route around fixed bars, and confirm it fits your exact FXD reference. For owners who are unsure, TUDOR says only Official TUDOR Retailers are authorised to change the watch strap.
What the Pelagos FXD’s fixed strap bars mean
TUDOR uses “FXD” to refer to the case’s extra-robust fixed strap bars. Unlike removable spring bars, these bars are part of the case’s strap arrangement; a conventional two-piece strap that depends on removing spring bars is not the right fit. TUDOR describes the FXD straps as one-piece designs. TUDOR’s Pelagos FXD feature page

Which straps fit a Pelagos FXD?
Start with the exact watch reference, then look for a one-piece strap explicitly designed to fit its fixed bars. TUDOR lists a 22 mm lug width for the Pelagos FXD M25717N-0001, but width by itself does not establish that a strap can be routed around the fixed bars or that it will sit correctly. A search such as 22 mm one-piece strap for the Pelagos FXD is a useful starting point, not a compatibility guarantee.

The M25717N-0001 is a 42 mm titanium model supplied with a green fabric strap and a black rubber strap. Those details should not be assumed for every FXD: TUDOR’s collection includes other variants, including a 43 mm carbon-composite FXD Chrono, and the FXD GMT is another distinct reference. Check your model before buying a replacement rather than transferring measurements or included-strap details from one FXD to another. How to fit and use a replacement strap
TUDOR’s published material confirms the fixed-bar, one-piece arrangement and self-gripping fabric fastening, but does not give a complete threading sequence. Follow the instructions supplied with the strap rather than treating these general checks as an official TUDOR procedure.
- Identify the watch’s full reference and confirm that the replacement is made for its fixed bars—not merely that its stated width matches.
- Route the one-piece strap around the fixed bars as its maker directs. Do not try to remove the fixed bars or use a conventional spring-bar tool to detach them.
- Before wearing the watch, check that the strap lies flat, its fastening is secure, and the watch is held safely. Confirm the fastening remains secure when you move your wrist.
- If the strap, keeper or fastening catches, sits incorrectly or seems to require force, stop and ask an Official TUDOR Retailer for assistance.
What to check before choosing fabric or rubber
TUDOR lists a green fabric strap with self-gripping fastening and a black rubber strap for the M25717N-0001. For a replacement, compare the details that affect fit and use rather than relying on material or width alone:

- Reference and fixed-bar compatibility: the strap must be designed for your particular FXD’s bar arrangement.

- Material and fastening: consider whether you want fabric or rubber and whether the strap’s fastening style suits your use.
- Thickness and position: check how the strap routes around the bars and sits beneath the watch.
- Installation support: if compatibility or fitting is uncertain, use an Official TUDOR Retailer.
TUDOR does not provide a general third-party strap compatibility chart in the cited material, so a seller’s width specification alone is not enough to confirm fit. M25717N-0001 product details

Water resistance is a watch specification, not proof that a third-party strap has been fitted correctly or that a post-fitting check has been completed. For the M25717N-0001, TUDOR specifies 200 m water resistance; do not treat that rating as a strap-fit or service guarantee. M25717N-0001 specifications
