Its catalog entry lists the watch at €60,000 and marks it sold out, so the immediate question for a prospective owner is not a normal retail checkout but how to verify provenance and availability through Ressence or the secondary market.
What the TYPE 10 DN is
TYPE 10 DN is the model name used by Ressence for the “Dark Knight” watch. It appears as a standalone product in the brand’s official TYPE 10 collection rather than as an unnamed concept or general design study. Ressence was founded in 2010 by Benoît Mintiens, and the company identifies its patented Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS) as a core technology across its work. That brand context explains why the model is associated with Ressence’s distinctive display philosophy, but it does not establish a complete TYPE 10 DN specification.

The accessible catalog entry does not state the movement, case dimensions, materials, water-resistance rating, power reserve, launch date or edition size. Those details should not be inferred from photographs, the TYPE 10 name or specifications of another Ressence model.
Price and availability
| Source | Listed price | Availability shown | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ressence official TYPE 10 collection page | €60,000 | Sold Out | Primary catalog listing and the clearest reference for the brand’s stated price. |
| Independent Ressence model database | $67,170 | Sold out | Secondary database figure in a different currency; it is not a replacement for the official euro listing. |
The two figures should not be treated as a live currency conversion or as proof of a current resale transaction. They come from different sources and currencies, and the independent database’s timestamp is separate from the official catalog. A buyer should request a dated offer, confirm the seller’s location and taxes, and establish whether the watch is being offered at retail, on consignment or through a private resale.

Where a buyer can look
Because the official entry is sold out, start with Ressence for any wait-list, allocation or authorized-retailer information. If a pre-owned TYPE 10 DN appears, ask for documentation before discussing payment:
- Clear photographs of the watch, caseback, dial and clasp, including the serial or identifying markings where appropriate.
- The original invoice or warranty documentation, with personal details redacted if necessary.
- Service records and an explanation of the watch’s ownership history.
- Confirmation that the seller can demonstrate lawful title and will use insured shipping and an escrow or equivalent protected payment process.
- A written statement of the return period, authenticity guarantee and responsibility for import duties or local taxes.
Do not assume that a listing using the words “Dark Knight” is an official TYPE 10 DN. Match the reference name and paperwork to Ressence’s catalog, and have an independent watchmaker or the brand verify the piece before funds become non-refundable.

Accessories and printed material
The official collection page’s related-products area lists three separate items:

The page does not establish that any of these items is included with a TYPE 10 DN purchase, nor does it confirm compatibility of the strap tool with this specific model. Treat them as separately listed products unless Ressence confirms otherwise.

What remains unknown before purchase
A serious comparison with another high-end watch needs model-specific evidence that is not present in the accessible TYPE 10 DN listing. Before committing to a premium, ask for the full product sheet or press material covering:
- Movement calibre, regulation and service interval.
- Case and crystal materials, dimensions, thickness and lug or strap configuration.
- Water resistance and any restrictions on swimming or pressure exposure.
- Power-reserve figure and winding or setting procedure.
- Production quantity, numbering and the date the model entered the collection.
- Warranty duration, international coverage and the route for factory servicing.
These are ownership decisions, not cosmetic trivia: they affect daily wear, insurance valuation, servicing cost and the premium a sold-out example may command.

Why the sold-out status matters
“Sold Out” describes the availability shown on the cited listings; it does not by itself establish rarity, an official limited-edition quantity or a guaranteed increase in value. Collectability depends on documented production, condition, completeness and market demand. A complete set with traceable ownership may be easier to insure and resell than an example lacking papers, but no resale return is established by the catalog entry.

TYPE 10 DN is a cataloged Ressence model with a €60,000 official listing and no stated retail availability at the time represented by the catalog. The independent $67,170 figure is a separate database reference, not a definitive market price. Until Ressence supplies the missing technical and production details, the safest purchase decision is one based on verified documentation, an authenticated watch and written service support rather than an assumed specification or scarcity premium.
