It is an instrument-inspired automatic watch in the brand’s Flight Instrument series, reported at launch in 2024 as a 999-piece limited edition.
How the BR-03 Horizon tells time
The display borrows from an aircraft’s artificial horizon, the instrument that represents the relationship between sky and ground. A red horizontal line runs across the dial from 3 to 9 o’clock, while a rotating blue-and-black central disc supplies the horizon-inspired backdrop. These elements create the instrument-like image; the indicators still serve conventional hours, minutes and seconds.
- Hours: A black triangle on the rotating disc indicates the hour against the markers on the black inner bezel.
- Minutes: A white hand points to the minutes track.
- Seconds: A long, black-and-white striped hand runs from the centre.
A white triangle marks 12 o’clock, and the inner bezel carries hour markers alongside a minutes-and-seconds track. The red line is a decal applied to the inner side of the sapphire crystal, rather than a painted line on the dial.
Case, movement and straps
The reported specification pairs a square black ceramic case with an automatic movement based on Sellita’s SW300-1. The launch report gives the case as 41 × 41 mm and 10.6 mm thick, with 100 m water resistance.

The 41 mm square case continues the BR-03 format, while micro-blasted ceramic gives the case its black finish. The two included straps offer contrasting looks and closures: orange fabric secured by Velcro, or black rubber with a pin buckle.
Where it fits in the Bell & Ross range
The BR-03 Horizon belongs to Bell & Ross’s Flight Instrument series. It revisits a Horizon concept the brand had previously used in its larger 46 mm BR-01 range, now presented in a 41 mm case. Its defining feature is the instrument-inspired display rather than a new way to read elapsed time: the artificial-horizon imagery frames familiar hour, minute and second indications.
