The main distinction is visual. NOMOS describes Metro as modern and metropolitan, with fine details and minute markers that give it an instrument-like character. Club Campus takes a more playful approach: its combination of Arabic and Roman numerals and brighter accents gives the dial a more casual feel. These are aesthetic differences, not evidence that one watch is objectively better made or more capable.

Practical specifications vary within both collections. Compare the exact reference you are considering rather than assuming that every Metro or Club Campus shares the same dimensions, winding method, or water resistance.
Compare fit by reference, not collection
Diameter is a useful starting point, but thickness and lug-to-lug length also affect how much space a watch occupies on the wrist. The figures below are published NOMOS specifications for the listed examples; they do not describe every model in either family.

The 36 mm Club Campus 709 is larger in both diameter and lug-to-lug length. The 38.5 mm models have substantially more wrist coverage; the Metro neomatik 39 measures 45.5 mm lug-to-lug. Choose based on how you want to wind the watch
If you like the small daily ritual of winding a watch, the manually wound examples include Metro 33 reference 1122 and Club Campus reference 709. NOMOS specifies the Alpha caliber and manual winding for the Club Campus 38 data sheet’s reference 735. If you prefer an automatic, Metro neomatik 39 reference 1113 uses the automatic DUW 3001 movement.

These are reference-specific facts, not collection-wide rules. Check the caliber and winding method on the exact listing before buying; one Metro model’s specification does not establish the movement used in another Metro, and the same caution applies to Club Campus.
Water resistance: check the exact model’s guidance
The checked Metro 33 reference 1122 and Metro neomatik 39 reference 1113 are rated to 5 atm, which their product pages describe as “splash-proof.” The checked Club Campus 709 and the Club Campus 38 data sheet specify 10 atm; NOMOS describes the 709 as “suitable for swimming.” These ratings and descriptions apply to those cited examples, not automatically to every watch in either family. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance for your exact reference and intended water exposure. Prices depend on the model and country
Published regional prices illustrate why a direct price comparison needs matching models and markets. NOMOS’s US listing showed the Club Campus 709 at USD 1,660, while its German listing showed the Metro neomatik 39 at EUR 3,700. A French Metro family page listed the Metro 33 sage from EUR 2,060.
