The NOMOS Tangente 2date shows the current day and the month at the same time: a large date window at 6 o’clock identifies the day, while a numbered ring around the dial’s edge tracks the month. It is a 37.5 mm, hand-wound Tangente powered by NOMOS’s DUW 4601 caliber, offered with silver or blue dials.
How the Tangente 2date displays the date
The watch pairs two indications that answer different calendar questions. The peripheral date ring shows the whole month; the large date window at 6 o’clock marks the current day. NOMOS says both displays advance at midnight or when the quick-set function is activated. The brand describes the layout as a way to see the current day clearly while keeping the whole month in view.

The ring-date mechanism previously appeared in NOMOS Update versions of the Tangente neomatik and Metro neomatik. NOMOS presents the DUW 4601 as the first use of this system in one of its hand-wound watches.
Movement, dimensions and construction
NOMOS identifies the DUW 4601 as an in-house, manually wound caliber. Its product page lists 23 jewels and up to 52 hours of power reserve. A fact sheet marked October 2024 also lists quick-set date and stop-seconds, as well as movement dimensions of 34.6 mm across and 2.8 mm high. NOMOS says the movement lets the two indications sit close together while keeping the watch slim; these are manufacturer specifications and descriptions, not independent measurements.

For reference 135.SB, NOMOS lists a stainless-steel case and back, a white silver-plated dial, rhodium-plated hands, sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating on the front and back, and a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap. The product page gives a diameter of 37.5 mm, lug-to-lug length of 47.7 mm and lug width of 19 mm. Case height is inconsistent across NOMOS’s published materials: the current product page gives 6.7 mm, while the reference 135 fact sheet, marked as of October 2024, gives 6.8 mm. Check the listing for the exact reference rather than treating either figure as universal.
Silver and blue versions
NOMOS identifies the silver-dial model as reference 135 or 135.SB and the blue-dial model as reference 136 or 136.SB. The release page displayed regional starting prices of USD 2,820 for the silver version and USD 2,910 for the blue version. NOMOS’s UK product page displayed GBP 2,440 for reference 135.SB. These are regional prices observed on October 7, 2026, not guaranteed current or globally comparable prices; check the official listing for your market before buying.

Water resistance and strap fit
NOMOS rates the watch to 5 atm and labels it “splash-proof” on its product page and October 2024 fact sheet. That is the manufacturer’s stated classification; do not interpret the rating as a claim of suitability for swimming or diving.

The listed lug width is 19 mm, and reference 135.SB is shown on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap. Lug width alone does not establish that every 19 mm replacement strap will fit correctly: end shape and hardware may differ. Confirm the exact watch reference and strap dimensions before ordering.

When choosing between the two Tangente 2date versions, start with dial color and the exact reference, then confirm the caseback configuration and current price in your market. For comparisons with other watches, weigh the dimensions—especially lug-to-lug length—alongside winding type, date legibility and complexity, water-resistance rating, and local price. The available specifications do not establish a direct performance comparison with another model.
