What is the black-and-grey Rolex GMT-Master II?
Rolex identifies the watch as the GMT-Master II reference 126710GRNR. Its two-colour bezel is made with a Cerachrom ceramic insert, divided into grey and black sections, and the dial is black. How does its GMT function work?
The watch is designed to display two time zones. Its arrow-tipped 24-hour hand tracks a reference time against the bezel’s 24-hour scale. To read that second time zone, rotate the bidirectional bezel to align the scale with the GMT hand.

For travel, the local hour hand can be moved independently in one-hour increments, forward or backward, without stopping or changing the minute and seconds hands. The date changes instantaneously as the local hour hand passes midnight. Rolex describes the GMT-Master II as “a benchmark among tool watches capable of displaying two time zones simultaneously”; that is the brand’s characterization, not an independent comparative assessment. Oyster or Jubilee bracelet?
Both options are Oystersteel bracelets with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp and Easylink extension of approximately 5 mm. The Oyster has three-piece solid links; the Jubilee has five-piece links. Rolex lists them as two configurations of the same reference, and its published specifications do not establish either bracelet as technically superior.
