However, Gemini was not the documented launch-day assistant: contemporary coverage said GPT-4o handled requests initially and Gemini was expected later. As of the latest available 2026 information, Solos is promoting the newer AirGo V2 as its current camera-enabled platform.
That makes the original headline—“Solos AirGo Vision are smart glasses with Gemini, now available”—too broad for a current buying decision. AirGo Vision should be treated as an older product associated with planned multi-model support, while buyers in 2026 should investigate AirGo V2 and verify Gemini support, stock and account requirements before ordering.

What Solos AirGo Vision actually is
AirGo Vision is not augmented-reality eyewear. It has no heads-up display, navigation overlays or lenses that project information into your field of view. It is better understood as camera-and-audio AI eyewear:

- Open-ear speakers deliver spoken answers, calls and music.
- Bluetooth connects the glasses to a smartphone.
- A Solos companion app and remote AI services process requests.
- The AirGo ecosystem uses interchangeable or swappable frame components, depending on the model.
Launch-era descriptions included asking questions about objects and scenes, visual assistance, translation, music playback, phone calls and voice interaction. These were advertised capabilities, not independent accuracy results.

The important architectural point is that the glasses are a front end for a phone-connected, cloud-assisted workflow. The available evidence does not support describing Gemini as running locally inside the frames or working offline.
What “with Gemini” means
Solos positioned its platform as an open architecture intended to work with several AI systems, including OpenAI GPT-4o, Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude. But announced compatibility is not the same as verified, working support on a particular product and date.
The relevant timeline
| Date | What the evidence shows |
|---|---|
| 2024 | Solos described a multi-assistant direction involving GPT-4o, Gemini and Claude. |
| December 10, 2024 | AirGo Vision was reported as available from $299. GPT-4o handled requests initially; Gemini was described as coming later rather than as a launch-day feature. 9to5Google’s launch report documents this distinction. |
| July 15, 2026 | Solos announced worldwide retail availability for the newer AirGo V2, starting at $299. Solos’ announcement presents V2 as its latest camera-enabled platform. |
No current official AirGo Vision support page in the supplied material verifies the exact Gemini model, setup path, subscription requirement or continued support for the original hardware. A buyer who specifically wants Gemini should therefore confirm all four points with Solos before purchase.

Availability and price
Original AirGo Vision
AirGo Vision was reported as available on December 10, 2024, with pricing beginning at $299. Launch-era reporting also listed a camera/frame module at $149 for use with existing AirGo3 glasses, while bundles with additional frame styles started at approximately $349. Those are historical launch prices, not proof that the original Vision model remains orderable in 2026.
Solos’ current catalog emphasizes AirGo V2 and AirGo V rather than clearly presenting the original AirGo Vision as its active flagship. Several retrieved product pages showed unavailable or backordered variants, so a list price should not be treated as a guarantee that every frame, size or lens configuration can ship immediately.
AirGo V2: the current successor
Solos announced AirGo V2 as globally retail-available from $299. Its product page also lists a $299 price, although the retrieved page showed availability warnings for the selected variant. Check the AirGo V2 product page for the exact frame and status before ordering.
AirGo V is another camera-equipped Solos line listed at $299, with product-page specifications for Bluetooth, battery and prescription options. Its retrieved page also showed availability or backorder signals. See the AirGo V listing.

| Connectivity | Phone, Bluetooth, companion app and cloud services required | Phone and Solos app remain central to the experience |
| Starting price | $299 at the 2024 launch | $299 in Solos’ 2026 announcement and product listing |

The V2 compatibility warning matters to existing owners: do not assume AirGo3 frames, temples or other accessories will transfer to V2.
Features and practical capabilities
Camera-based AI
AirGo Vision was described as supporting spoken questions about what the camera sees, object or scene recognition, translation and visual assistance. Solos’ 2026 V2 announcement adds voice-triggered photos, video recording, translation, real-time questions and music control through SolosChat.

- 【See More, Capture Better】Capture everyday moments with clarity. The 8MP camera delivers detailed photos, while EIS helps keep 1080P video smooth and steady. - 【Voice Help on the Go】Ask simple questions without pulling out your phone. Get quick help with menus, directions, reminders, travel tips, or daily information.

- 【OWS Open-Ear Audio & Clear Calls】Listen while staying aware of your surroundings. OWS open-ear audio is ideal for music, calls, and navigation, while dual ENC microphones help reduce background noise for clearer calls.
These descriptions should be read as product claims. They do not guarantee recognition accuracy, instant responses or reliable performance in poor lighting, noisy environments or weak network conditions.
Audio, calls and music
Open-ear speakers are intended to keep the wearer aware of surrounding sound while providing spoken AI responses, phone calls and music. This is less isolating than sealed earbuds, but it also means audio privacy is limited: people nearby may hear responses depending on volume and surroundings.

Battery and charging
Solos’ cited AirGo V listing specifies the following figures for that product, not automatically for AirGo Vision or V2:
- Up to approximately 10 hours of music streaming.
- Approximately 7 hours of phone-call use.
- Approximately 16 hours for photo shooting and AI inquiries.
- About two days of standby with a connected smartphone.
- About three hours of operation after roughly 15 minutes of charging.
- Approximately 1.5 hours for a full charge over USB-C.
- IP67 protection on the cited AirGo V listing.
Camera use, frequent AI uploads, calls, volume, Bluetooth conditions, temperature and retries can reduce real-world endurance. IP67 should not be interpreted as permission to swim with the glasses or expose them to prolonged submersion.
Prescription lenses and fit
Solos product pages describe options including 1.60, 1.64 and 1.74 index lenses, photochromic and polarized lenses, blue-light-blocking options and anti-reflective coatings. Prescription boundaries vary by frame and lens choice; stronger prescriptions may require a higher-index lens.
Fit is especially important because electronics are built into the temples. Confirm frame dimensions, prescription limits, lens upgrades and return conditions before ordering. A camera hinge or module may also make some versions less discreet than ordinary spectacles.

Before buying, verify:
- Your exact Android or iOS version.
- Whether the current Solos AirGo app supports the specific model.
- Bluetooth pairing and background-app permissions.
- Camera, microphone and notification permissions.
- Whether Gemini is exposed in the Solos app or through a separate phone workflow.
- Whether Google, Solos or another provider requires an account, paid tier or imposes usage limits in your country.
The supplied evidence does not establish a current universal Gemini subscription price, app version or menu path. Do not assume that buying the hardware includes unlimited AI access.

Camera-equipped glasses raise questions that ordinary headphones do not. Before using them around other people, determine whether the camera is active, what notification is visible, where photos and recordings are stored, which AI providers receive visual prompts, how deletion works and whether captured data may be used for training.

A physical cover can block the camera, but it cannot erase material already captured or resolve cloud-retention and consent questions.

Common problems and what to check
Gemini does not appear
- Confirm the exact model name on the order or frame.
- Update the Solos AirGo app and device firmware if available.
- Recheck Bluetooth pairing and camera/microphone permissions.
- Look for regional or model-specific assistant restrictions.
- Verify Google-account eligibility and any required plan.
- Contact Solos support before treating the problem as hardware failure.
Do not rely on a generic AirGo Vision headline as proof that Gemini is enabled on your particular unit.
The product page says “unavailable”
“Starting at $299” is a list-price signal. Stock may vary by frame, size, lens type, prescription and shipping country. Check dispatch estimates, customs, return terms and warranty coverage before paying.
AI answers are slow or incomplete
Possible causes include weak Bluetooth, a phone without data service, the Solos app being suspended, an AI-provider outage, camera-upload failure or service limits. These glasses should not be treated as a standalone emergency, medical, accessibility or navigation device unless qualified documentation supports that use.
Who should consider Solos?
Solos makes the most sense for buyers who want camera-based visual AI through open-ear audio, accept phone and cloud dependence, value prescription or interchangeable-frame options, and find a roughly $299 starting price appealing.
Be cautious if you specifically need Gemini working today on the original AirGo Vision, require offline or on-device AI, want a display or navigation overlays, need guaranteed immediate stock, own older AirGo accessories, or place a high priority on mature after-sales support and extensive independent testing.
Alternatives
- Ray-Ban Meta: a more established mainstream camera-glasses ecosystem with familiar branding. It is less aligned with buyers seeking Solos’ advertised multi-assistant approach. See Ray-Ban Meta’s official product information.
- Solos AirGo A5 or AirGo3: worth investigating if open-ear audio matters but a camera does not. Availability varies across the current Solos catalog.
- Display-equipped smart glasses: a better direction if the goal is visual overlays, navigation prompts or information visible in the lens rather than spoken AI.
Buying recommendation
Gemini-first buyer: do not buy the original AirGo Vision solely because an old headline says “with Gemini.” Confirm current model support, software path, region and account requirements first.
Buyer seeking the latest Solos camera glasses: investigate AirGo V2, but check the exact variant’s stock and remember that it is not compatible with other AirGo models.

Buyer wanting offline AI, a display, guaranteed availability or a more mature ecosystem: Solos may not be the right fit. Compare a mainstream camera-glasses platform or display-based product instead.
