It is an unusual mechanical display, but its reported specifications conflict on power reserve, and a 2022 publication warned about alleged non-delivery. How the Phantasos Triclops tells time
The Triclops is a three-arm wandering-hour watch. Instead of a central hour and minute hand, rectangular prisms marked with the hours move across a scale at the upper part of the bezel. The hour facet passing the scale indicates the hour in progress; its position along the scale shows the minutes elapsed within that hour.
The three-arm mechanism rotates at the rate of a minute hand, carrying the hour facets around the display. This gives the watch a moving, nontraditional readout: first find the hour shown on the facet crossing the scale, then read that facet’s position against the minute markings. It may take a moment to learn compared with conventional hands, so legibility and ease of reading are worth considering if you want a watch for quick glances.
What is reported about its movement and construction?
Time+Tide’s 2022 article reports a Miyota 90S5 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a stated accuracy tolerance of -10/+30 seconds per day. It gives the power reserve as 42 hours. A 2022 Makuake campaign result also identifies the Miyota 90S5 and 28,800 vibrations per hour, but reports a 36-hour reserve instead. The available published figures do not resolve that difference, so neither reserve should be treated as a confirmed production specification.

These are features reported in that article, not independently verified test results. Time+Tide reported a $980 USD retail price and a $648 USD limited early-bird price in 2022. These are historical launch-era prices, not current offers. Makuake’s 2022 campaign result listed leather and rubber straps and a metal band, but that does not confirm present accessory supply or fit. Verify the attachment width and quick-release compatibility before buying any replacement strap.

Availability and seller reliability are unresolved. Time+Tide’s 2022 article included an editor’s warning: “We have been advised by readers that this watch has allegedly not been sent to consumers despite repeated promises.” The note also said the publication contacted the brand without receiving a response and advised readers to be wary. This is a reported warning, not independent proof that no customers received watches or a verified account of how every order was handled.
