What is the Jui Bauhinia?
Jui Bauhinia is a collaboration between Hong Kong watch community Watch Ho & Co(mmunity) and independent watch brand Selten. Selten presents it as a continuation of the Jui collaboration. The design keeps the Jui platform and Mountain Pattern while shifting the dial palette to pink or purple mother-of-pearl, according to Time+Tide’s review and Monochrome’s launch coverage.
The name also carries the collaboration’s stated symbolism: “Jui” refers to 聚, meaning gathering or meeting, while the Bauhinia is presented by Selten as an emblem of Hong Kong associated with unity and resilience. Jackie Ho, founder of Watch Ho & Co(mmunity), described it as representing “the resilience and beauty of our home, Hong Kong,” in Selten’s announcement.
Dial and case design
Two tinted mother-of-pearl options
The published versions use white mother-of-pearl tinted pink or purple. As with other mother-of-pearl dials, the appearance can shift with light and viewing angle, so photographs alone may not show exactly how the surface will look in person. The available coverage establishes the two colors but does not provide controlled side-by-side comparisons.

Mountain Pattern and hands
Time+Tide describes a CNC-produced Mountain Pattern across the dial and skeletonized sword hands treated in blue and purple. The small 二 marker at 2 o’clock is presented as a reference to this being the second chapter of the Jui collaboration. These are distinctive visual details rather than changes to the underlying watch platform.
Published dimensions and materials
The reported dimensions are compact on paper for an automatic watch with a 39 mm case: 9.95 mm thick, 45.5 mm lug-to-lug and 20 mm between the lugs. Monochrome identifies the case as 316L stainless steel. Time+Tide lists a domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating; Monochrome reports sapphire at the front and back. Both describe 50 m water resistance.

The Jui Bauhinia uses a no-date Miyota 9039 automatic movement. Monochrome reports a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and an approximately 42-hour power reserve. These are published product specifications, not independently measured performance figures.

The 20 mm lug width gives a useful starting point if you are considering another strap, but width alone does not establish that a particular third-party strap will fit. Check the actual watch and the strap listing for attachment and clearance details. Time+Tide also reports an optional steel bracelet was offered separately online; its current availability and price are not established here.

How it differs from the original Jui
The coverage describes Bauhinia as a continuation rather than a wholly new platform. Its clearest changes are the pink and purple tinted mother-of-pearl dial options and the 二 marker at 2 o’clock, while the Mountain Pattern concept and case dimensions carry over. That makes the choice between versions primarily a matter of dial color and the specific design chapter, rather than a different movement or case size.
Price, edition size and availability
Launch coverage reported 200 pieces per dial color and a US$1,250 launch price in 2026. Those figures describe the launch, not a verified current price or remaining inventory. Time+Tide reported direct Selten availability when its review appeared, but current stock, shipping, warranty, bracelet terms and checkout price should be confirmed on Selten’s announcement and linked store information before buying.

The Bauhinia is most compelling for someone who wants an independent-brand automatic with a colorful, textured dial and a direct connection to Hong Kong’s watch community. The dimensions and no-date movement offer a relatively restrained foundation for a watch whose main visual statement is its dial. Buyers prioritizing proven accuracy, extensive ownership data or a straightforward current-market comparison should note that the cited coverage does not establish independent performance testing or customer-satisfaction results.
